Bio

I am an integrative art psychotherapist with 30+ years of clinical experience, trained to work with adults, children, groups, and couples. Having started out as counsellor and addiction therapist my work deepened and expanded when I qualified as and integrative arts psychotherapist in 2007.

As a psychotherapist I have a strong relational focus that draws on attachment and psychodynamic perspectives. I am comfortable working with talking based approaches and as a trained arts therapist I know the unique power of engaging creativity and imagination to overcome life’s challenges. At times therapy feels hard and gritty and yet there are also those moments of playfulness and spontaneity that bring change and movement where life has felt stuck and featureless. At the heart of my work lies the joy and privilege of working alongside my clients, supporting them to attain their goals, and find a measure of peace, wellbeing and fulfilment that is lifechanging.

I have been based at 12 Harley Street in London since 2006, and opened my Canterbury practice in 2014. I have extensive experience in both online therapy and clinical supervision having offered these services since 2012. Throughout my career I have undertaken additional trainings and am committed to updating my knowledge and skills in fast developing disciplines. I am at ease working with a wide range of clinical concerns and diagnoses as well as being fully experienced working as part of a multidisciplinary team in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

I have particular expertise in working with attachment and personality disorders, addiction, trauma and depression. I have a wider interest in spirituality, body-based approaches and am also qualified as a hypnotherapist.

I offer appointments in London and Canterbury as well as online.
